1. What aspects of your job/profession do you enjoy the most?
Building an enthusiastic and driven team of people with a common goal that ultimately are proud to fly the Turn Key flag
2. What key challenges do you anticipate will affect your sector/profession over the next six months?
Finding the best people is always the biggest challenge at Turn Key
3. What key skills do you think every entrepreneur should have?
Listen before acting, follow your gut instinct, you are only as good as your last job
4. Why do you think Yorkshire is a good place to start up/operate a business?
There are so many opportunities around the corner and due to the size of the City, it is a great place to network and create a good impression with minimum investment.
5. If you could improve anything in the region what would it be?
The weather!
6. Your views on the recession...
If you are making money now, then the future should be goldmine. The major concern is when that future will arrive…
7. What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
There is no such thing as luck. Grit + determination = success
8. And the worst?
To become successful and wealthy you need to be ruthless
9. What barriers have you had to overcome in growing your business/developing your career, and if any, can you explain how you overcame them.
Staying alive during the worst recession in my lifetime. Keep your bottom line top of mind.
10. What was your first job and what did you spend your first wage packet on?
My first proper job was building computers in a warehouse. I spent my first wage packet on a freelancer to design a website for me which I sold on for a profit!
11. If you could choose to start your career over again would you do anything different and if so what?
Yes - I would have borrowed money when borrowing money was cheap to grow the business quicker
12. Name one item/hobby/gadget you couldn't give up
